Poem of a New York Night There is a smile tugging the corners of his mouth high to heavenPoem of a New York Night by ~mariecobain
full and sincere
soft and pinked
from the anticipation of my laughter peeling out in the darkness
of our bedroom
because of the joke still yet to be spoken
shared and remembered
cherished and felt
I am unsure to this day what the joke was
or will be
all I can recall is the taste of that mouth.
